Livery

A range of different livery packages are available at Balanced Equine to meet you and your horse's individual needs.

Balanced Equine is located in the small village of St Michaels. It boasts the advantage of being a small, friendly, professional yard with help always being on hand if required. The yard is ideally located between St Andrews, Cupar and Dundee for easy access to a variety of competition venues and less than 5 miles to Tentsmuir forest and beach. At Balanced Equine the welfare of the horses is paramount with turn out available all year round. We make our own hay and haylage that is included in all of our livery packages.

Full Livery

Full livery includes a fully rubber matted stable and daily turnout to suit your horse’s individual needs. 24/7 turnout is possible in dry conditions. If you have a horse that requires individual turn out or restricted grazing this can be arranged. Daily care provided, includes feeding, bringing in and turning out, mucking out, poo picking and rug changes. We feed Simple System feeds, a basic feed and balancer is included. Hay or haylage and straw is included and full use of facilities.

The cost for this package is £400 per month.

Working Livery

Working livery includes everything listed in the full livery package above and also exercising the horse five days per week to suit your needs. This can include hacking, schooling, lunging and fittening work.

This package is charged at £650 per month.

Full Grass Livery

Full Grass Livery includes seven days care at grass including daily checks, feeding, rug changes and poo picking. Homegrown hay or haylage, Simple System hard feed and full use of facilities included.

The cost for this package is £350 per month.

Youngstock and Retirement Livery

Young Stock Livery includes daily checks, feeding, rug changes and poo picking. Homegrown hay or haylage, Simple System hard feed and full use of facilities included. Turnout in a small herd. Handling and backing available. Handling for the vet and farrier charged in addition to livery.

Retirement Livery includes daily checks, feeding, rug changes and poo picking. Homegrown hay or haylage, Simple System hard feed and full use of facilities included. Turn out to suit your horses individual requirements.

The cost of these packages start at £350 per month.

Holiday Livery

Short term full livery to suit your requirements.

Price starting at £30 per day.

Rehabilitation Livery

Working closely with your vet, physiotherapist, farrier and other professionals as a team we can look at your horse holistically to provide a rehab programme. Please make contact to discuss details.

Price starts at £35 per day.

Balanced Equine moved into the yard at St Michaels at the end of August 2023. It was just a bare field at the time. The price of these livery packages is based on the current facilities and will increase as the yard grows and more facilities are added.
